Man Put In Chokehold After Jealous Boyfriend Goes To Wrong House

Today's story is another case of 'Florida Justice!' (And by 'Florida Justice' I mean sheer stupidity.) A man was arrested after knocking on a stranger's door and trying to choke out a man he thought was sleeping with his girlfriend. Turns out boy-wonder had the wrong house.According to UPI, a woman had called police to tell them her husband had been attacked by a stranger in their home. At about 11PM the woman's husband answered to someone pounding on their front door. The stranger on the other side forced his way inside and started chocking the man.

After a bit of a struggle the man broke free, then things got weird.

The suspect said,

You are the wrong man.

And then fled the home.

Police tracked him down and it turns out he thought his girlfriend was cheating on him and he wanted to confront the man she was cheating with. He said he had simply gone to the wrong house, apologized and been on his merry way. (His story to police didn't include the violent choke-hold.)

But armed with the truth, police put Mr. Jealousy behind bars.
