Man In Jail After Stealing 132-Foot Ferry Boat ‘For His Birthday’

Some people like to get themselves gifts for their birthday and there's nothing wrong with that. Deciding to steal an $8-million dollar boat as a present to yourself, however, will land you in jail.

According to Metro, a 33-year-old man decided to steal a 132-foot ferry to travel from Seattle to British Columbia, Canada as a little birthday trip. Apparently he had no idea how to actually operate the boat and it was spotted drifting in a bay and was boarded by SWAT teams and recovered less than seven hours after our guy took it.

An eight-million dollar boat?! Did he really think no one is going to notice something like that? Maybe he should at least take a few sailing lessons before he tried a stunt like that.
