Man Impersonates Cop To Try And Get Free Donuts – Dumb Criminal Of The Day
Guess what? It turns out pretending to be an undercover cop investigating ‘crooked’ cops is not a very good cover story to score free donuts.
According to WPTV, a 36-year-old man had been frequenting a Dunkin' Donuts location in Florida claiming to be an undercover DEA/CIA agent and demanding free items.
When asked for his identification, our guy used to oh-so-clever excuse of, “I don’t have to show you my ID, I’m undercover!”
[He] reportedly said he'd been sent into Dunkin' Donuts to investigate "crooked cops," works for "America's Most Wanted" and carries a gun.
He got into an argument with other patrons and a store employee, police were called (the real ones), and now our donut-mooching liar is facing felony charges of falsely impersonating an officer.
Aren't donuts only about 59 cents?
