Lottery Winner Flushes $550,000 Down the Toilet

I have heard of people losing money quickly but this is a little ridiculous.

This takes place in Germany. A 63-year-old woman had won about $547,000 with the lottery. Yippie right? Well, shortly after she won, the nursing home that cared for her husband before he passed away decided to send her a bill.

She read the letter and became angry so she did the only rational thing that a person could do. She drank five bottles of champaign, tore up the money and flushed it down the toilet. Why did she have a half million in cash just lying around? Your guess is as good as mine.

She was able to settle the case with the nursing home for $5,500 but it is unsure if she is able to reclaim the money she flushed since it could be made up and what not.
