Lil Joe Celebrates One Year at 99.9 The Point [VIDEO]

Jordan Dawson, TSM[/caption]This past Saturday marked one year of being an On-Air Personality at 99.9 The Point! So I thought I would recap on the year and how thankful I am to be doing what I love.

It is very hard to believe that a year has gone by already! I have laughed with you and hopefully made you laugh, as you have let me into your life at home, in the car, at work and everywhere else.

I have been a DJ for the last 16 years of my life, from night clubs to mobile events like weddings, school dances, private parties and corporate events. I have been voicing radio commercials across the country for years. But something was missing...

I wanted to be in the wonderful world of radio!

I got the opportunity last December when I started doing part-time weekends on 99.9 The Point! I grew to absolutely love it. Love it with a passion.

I was doing weekends for 3-4 months when Beano announced that he was moving on to other things and I was asked to temporarily fill in for him until the position could be filled. Again, I was told it would be temporary.

I was ecstatic about this opportunity! Even when I know things are going to be temporary I still put my all into it and hope for the best!

I have been fortunate enough to have you allow me into your life for the last year and for that I say Thank You!

In the last year I have interviewed some great artists, here is a look at those.

I talked with Alex & Sierra from the X Factor and they performed "Scarecrow."

I had a great interview with Leihoku who is also a CSU Alum, she performed "Always."

I spoke with Mary Lambert about her success and her partnership with Mackelmore.

I talked with Jacquie Lee about her experience being on "The Voice."

Gavin DeGraw talked about his idol and someone I admire, Billy Joel.

Justin from Blue October came in to talk about his intervention and performed his new hit "Fear."

So, thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for tuning in and laughing with me! Here is to another year of keeping you smiling and wondering what I am going to say next!
