Learn Sled Hockey at the Greeley Ice Haus
Want to play hockey but you can't ice skate?
The Greeley Ice Haus will be offering a sled hockey class from 1:45-2:45 p.m. on May 5.
This is an all-inclusive opportunity to try sled hockey — similar to regular hockey but players move around on special sleds. John Reid, a Level 1 certified USA Hockey Coach will be teaching the class.
The sled hockey program will run every Sunday at the same time and will be teaching basics of the sport. The cost is $9.50 per person and Greeley Ice Haus will provide all equipment. Participants are asked to wear warm athletic gear.
“This program is something we’ve been working on developing for a while,” said Mark Mann, Ice Haus Manager in a press release.
“This is a great opportunity for individuals to try something new, and get out on the ice without needing to know how to skate,” said Greeley Ice Haus coordinator Corbin Fitzgibbons in the press release. “Our goal is to provide on-ice activities for all who are interested in trying it. Sled Hockey is a great introduction to the sport.”
