Lawyer Offering Free Divorce on Valentine’s Day

What better way to celebrate "the day of love" than with a free divorce? Walter H. Bentley III, an attorney in Michigan is offering a free divorce on Valentine's day. He is not just giving it away though, you have to have a compelling story on why you deserve to win and it has to be an uncontested divorce with no or minimum child custody issues  Hmmmm... Is this a good idea or no? Nearly 500 people have applied, which to me is kind of sad, and they are narrowing down the list trying to find the story that is the most affecting.

We're looking for someone truly struggling to move forward," he says, "maybe someone who's overcome some obstacle —a foreclosure, say. Maybe they're struggling to make ends meet, and they don't have enough money for a divorce."An illness also could give them a leg up. "Somebody diagnosed with cancer. Other attorneys around the country are kind of offering the same thing but the clients are expected to pay the court costs. Walter is picking up the cost of everything.
