UPDATED: Larimer County SWAT Respond to Call in Estes Park Monday

Larimer County SWAT responded to a call in Estes Park Monday involving a possibly armed man at a local lodge.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office SWAT team responded to a call about a man at the Olympus Motor Lodge just east of Estes Park. The man is reportedly armed and potentially suicidal. Authorities were successful at contacted the man and he proved to be cooperative. The man, whose name has not yet been released, is being detained. Charges have not yet been filed.

According to a press release the lodge had been evacuated and US Hwy 34 was closed at Drake. Operations are now back to normal and US Hwy 34 is open.

A firearm was found at the scene. No injuries were reported.
