Kate Beckinsale’s Ex Just Warned Pete Davidson to ‘Run’
Kate Beckinsale's ex-boyfriend has a warning for Pete Davidson, amid rumors the pair are dating.
Comedian Matt Rife told TMZ he had heard the news that his ex-girlfriend "moved on" with Davidson, 25, and was "happy" for her. He said that he was "hoping they're both getting out of it what they want to get out of it," but noted that he had a "complicated" and contentious relationship with Beckinsale when he dated her in 2017.
Asked if he had any advice for Davidson, whom he admitted he hadn't spoken to in some time, Rife said, "Run."
"Enjoy it. Enjoy it while you can," he added. "I'm hoping they're both getting out of it what they want to get out of it."
Rife was 21 at the time he dated the now 45-year-old actress, he told the outlet. The pair met at The Laugh Factory and went on to date for a year. He did not go into details about why or how his relationship with Beckinsale was complicated, but told TMZ he wouldn't do it again if she asked him to get back with her.
Rife advised Davidson to be cautious in his interview with the outlet. He wished the Saturday Night Live star and Beckinsale the best.
"I hope they're both happy. I hope that it can build to where it's an established good relationship. I wish them both the best. I hope they're happy. Just be careful," he said.
Beckinsale and Davidson were spotted sharing a kiss at a New York Rangers game on Monday, Cosmopolitan reported. Photos captured the kiss, as well as the reaction of Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski, who happened to be seated next to the apparent couple.
