I just picked my bicycle up from its annual tune up. It always feels like a brand new rig after a few days in the shop. Being able to navigate Fort Collins on 2 wheels is something that I truly love. I have realized that compared to driving, going by bicycle barely doubles the amount of time it takes me to get from point A to point B. So, instead of 10 minutes from my home to yoga class, it takes me 20. In other words, there is very little difference.

June is Bike Month and this year, if you haven’t hopped on two wheels, perhaps take advantage of all the opportunities to rejuvenate a love for self propulsion! The City of Fort Collins offers great Bike Month Tips.

Bike to Work Tip #6

Fort Collins has nearly 250 miles of bike lanes, routes and trails. To find an easy and safe bike route for your commute, check our city’s bike map. You can get one on the web at www.fcgov.com/bicycling, at our local bike shops, city offices and recreation facilities, the CSU Lory Student Center, and at our local libraries.
