After the announcement Monday that John Fox will no longer be the coach for the Broncos, John Elway held a news conference today, Jan. 13, at Denver Broncos' headquarters to discuss the the decision and the future of the team.

Elway explained that he and Fox disagreed about how to get to the "next level" and that the decision to part ways came down to philosophical differences. He said that there is no set timeline to replace Fox yet, but that offensive coordinator Adam Gase and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio are both candidates for the job.

While it seems clear that he hopes Peyton Manning will be back for another season, Elway did not give any real insight as to whether or not Manning will return. He said it was too early to discuss the quarterback's next step.
