It's the end of a leadership era at United Way of Weld County as Jeannine Truswell, president and CEO for 36 years, has announced her retirement.

In a press release from United Way, Truswell has decided to see 2022 through to the end of the year where they will then search for and hire her replacement.

With her leadership dating all the way back 1986, Truswell has made quite the impact on the community over nearly four decades. Beyond the impressive feat of growing United Way of Weld County to a $4-$5 million organization every year from it's start as a $500,000 annually organization, her accolades and accomplishments speak more of her impact in the president and CEO positions.

Over the year, Truswell was awarded BizWest Most Influential Business Leader and Woman of Distinction, Greeley Area Realtor Association Citizen of the Year, Partners' Volunteer of the Year, and many more.

While Truswell has put her confidence in the position United Way is in for finding her replacement saying, "United Way of Weld County is positioned well for this transition", the search will still be organized carefully for the national search.

As mentioned, the nationwide search for Truswell's replacement will commence at the end of 2022 when Truswell officially retires.
