Colorado is home to a wide variety of music venues, some of which may be considered unconventional to many.

Denver was once home to the Fox Street Compound, which appeared to have once been a lumber yard, and is currently home to The Junk Yard, which, at one point, was exactly that.

Now, it has just been announced that a new music venue will be opening up in the Mile High City in an especially odd setting - under a bridge used to travel along I-70.

New Colorado Venue will be Located Under I-70

The venue will be known as Project 70 and is set to host its first concert featuring rock group Turnstile on September 30, 2025.

Influenced by a similar project in New York called 'Under the K-Bridge,' Project 70 will have the luxury of relaxed decibel limits and curfews, a luxury not afforded to places like Red Rocks or the new Colorado Springs venue, Ford Amphitheatre.

However, because of the fact that it will be located quite literally under a major interstate highway, the people behind the project have stated that the venue will cater to louder artists:

Evan Marks of AEG had this to say about the talent that will be booked at Project 70:

You're not going to see James Taylor or Amos Lee play under the bridge at Project 70.

The venue will be located under a section of the I-70 overpass between the Denver Coliseum and the National Western Stock Show.
