A man has been convicted of a shooting that took place in Colorado back in 2022, and while there were no casualties as a result of his crime, the shooter is expected to be sentenced to as many as 1,200 years in prison.

A Shooting at Rancho El Corazon in Greeley Colorado

The incident took place on August 13, 2022, at a bar known as Rancho El Corazon, which is located at 125 East 18th Street in Greeley, Colorado.

The shooter, a man by the name of Efren Sanchez, was a patron at the bar that night but is said to have briefly left after an incident that left him feeling "disrespected."

However, it was the incident that followed that would determine his fate, as it has been reported that Sanchez returned to the establishment shortly thereafter with a rifle and proceeded to fire 28 rounds into the premises.

Luckily, despite the fact that Sanchez unleashed an alarming number of bullets into Rancho El Corazon, no one in the bar was fatally injured. However, two non-life-threatening injuries were reported following the incident.

What Will Happen to the Convicted Colorado Shooter?

While the incident could have certainly turned out much worse than it did, Sanchez is expected to receive a sentence far harsher than a slap on the wrist.

In fact, on Friday, April 19, Sanchez was convicted of 25 counts of attempted first-degree murder with extreme indifference, which, according to Weld County District Attorney Michael Pirraglia, could result in an astronomical prison sentence of 400 to 1,200 years behind bars.
