While the mountains are stunning on their own, the trip to the Red Mountains is almost just as beautiful. On the hike, you'll run into gorgeous, green meadows and forest land, an absolutely stunning crystal blue natural spring, an old abandoned cabin, and depending on the time of year, maybe even some red, yellow, and orange foliage.

However, if your breath hasn't already been taken away, arriving at the Red Mountains should easily take care of that.

The mountains aren't just red in color either as there are hints of lighter, sand-colored rocks, some vegetation, and if you're lucky, you might just find yourself in front of one of the most beautiful purple sunsets you've ever seen.
