However, sometimes encounters with dangerous wildlife take place in residential areas, especially when the animal(s) believe they'll find food.
Recently, a Colorado woman was visited by a massive and, consequently, rather terrifying bear multiple times.
Colorado Woman Recently Visited by Bear Four Times
Colorado resident Carol Rice was first visited by the bear just over a week ago on July 29, 2024. Unfortunately for Rice, this would not be an isolated incident as the bear would reappear multiple times.
The bear inflicted damage upon a number of Rice's belongings including her barbecue grill, pictured above.
While the bear never made its way into the living space of Rice's home, it did find its way into her garage.
In fact, the bear found its way into Rice's garage multiple times, destroying two garage doors in the process.
Following the first encounter, Rice installed security cameras, catching the bear in the act. However, the damage to the garage doors was done and ended up costing Rice around $2,000 to replace.
Here we can see just how close the bear got to one of the cameras in the garage.
After the fourth visit, the Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife dropped off a bear trap on Rice's property in hopes of humanely capturing the animal and relocating it.
