A Glimpse into Colorado’s Past: Tour an Abandoned Settlement

Colorado has changed immensely since the time when settlers first arrived in search of riches during its inception in the mid-1800s, but if you dig deep enough, it's possible to stumble upon reminders of the state's past that are still hanging on.

Some of these reminders come in the form of artifacts, ghost towns, and abandoned buildings that were once home to members of mining communities that arrived during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush.
While it can be incredibly dangerous and often illegal to explore abandoned places like these in person, advancements in technology have made it possible for us to take virtual tours of many of these otherwise unreachable places.
One YouTuber known for his explorations of historic and abandoned Colorado locales by the name of Derelict Doug has given us virtual access to what was once a settlement high in the Rocky Mountains that has been sitting silently for many years.
