It's always a bummer when one of your favorite businesses goes out of business, and this particular scenario seems to be an unfortunate trend across Colorado that has been going on for a handful of years.

One Colorado business that suffered such a fate was a beloved grocery store that served the northern Colorado town of Longmont, and while the building itself doesn't appear to be abandoned any longer, it's fascinating to see what it looked like when it was.

The grocery store was located in a strip mall at 700 Ken Pratt Boulevard, Suite 208 in Longmont and first opened as Lucky's in 2013.

However, Lucky's was purchased by Kroger a few years later, and after being sold again a few years after that, Lucky's was forced to file for bankruptcy. It was at this point that Alfalfa's Local Market took over, only to find itself in the same predicament around the same time that the COVID pandemic was in full swing and closed its doors as well.

Luckily, a YouTuber by the name of Optopolis recorded footage of what the Alfalfa's Local Market store looked like almost immediately after going out of business.

Again, it's important to remember that entering abandoned buildings is not only dangerous but potentially illegal as well, but you can take a virtual tour of the old Alfalfa's store below:
