National Forests with Unique Names
Is there a forest in Colorado that can boast a more unique name than the Uncompahgre National Forest? This name comes from the Ute Indians and translates to either "dirty water," or "red water spring." Colorado is home to the Uncompahgre National Forest, the Uncompahgre River, and Uncompahgre Peak, and for a short time in 1883, Ouray County even changed its name to Uncompahgre County (which has a nice ring to it).

Colorado Peaks with Silly Names
