The Department of the Interior, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the University of Colorado Marine Science all recognize the depth of Grand Lake to be 389 feet deep.

When out on the lake in a paddle boat or small craft, it seems like an almost bottomless body of water. When compared with Colorado's second deepest natural lake, Lake San Cristobal, with a depth of 90 feet. There is no other natural lake in the state that compares to Grand Lake.

Denver's US Bank Tower on 17th Street stands 389 feet tall, and if placed at the bottom of Grand Lake, the roof would sit just under the surface of the water.  The lake covers 507 acres and is surrounded by an alpine environment ideal for wildlife viewing.

Grand Lake, Colorado, is home to one of the state's oldest boardwalks. Strolling past the cool shops, restaurants, and art galleries feels like a trip back in time to the days of the Wild West.
