Loveland Holding ‘Community Conversation’ About Homelessness – What to Know
Many cities in Colorado have an amount of homeless that they deal with, Loveland being no exception. With the closing of the city's only overnight shelter in October of 2025, many citizens became more concerned with Loveland's handling of the situation. To hear from the community, the city scheduled a public meeting for early November of 2025.
Loveland to Hold Several Public Input Meetings on Homelessness
In a release, the City of Loveland stated that they'd be hosting a series of meetings designed to hear the public's aspirations and concerns regarding homelessness in Loveland. The City also stated that the November 5, 2025 meeting was not designed to come up with an immediate solution for winter shelter for the unhoused.
Living in Downtown Loveland, as I do, I do see many homeless citizens; many gather at the Loveland Resource Center along Lincoln, many spend their days walking the streets of downtown. I can say that I've never had a confrontation with any of them, but that's not to say confrontations don't happen. This will probably be one of the key topics brought up in the November 5 meeting and subsequent meetings that the City stated that they'd be having.

When you bring up homelessness in Loveland, many people get "fired up;" I imagine that there a lot of folks who want to attend a meeting like this. It seems the city agrees, that's why, once people have signed up to attend, they'll use a random number generator to select attendees. People need to register for the Community Conversation by October 30, 2025.
