Denver Broncos Only Team To Not Sign a Free Agent This Year
Remember back near the end of this past NFL season, everyone across the state of Colorado was excited about what this offseason could bring, based on not having to pay Russell Wilson anymore?
We all thought - man, they're going to go out there and go nuts during the free agency period! We were dreaming of all these high value players coming to Denver to push them over the top in 2026.
Well... free agency has begun. How many free agents has Denver landed?
ZERO. In fact, the Broncos are the only team in the entire NFL that haven't signed a single. outside player during this year's free agency period. The good news, however, is that they have re-signed quite a few of their own guys from last year's team.

That team went 14-3, won the AFC West and hosted the AFC Championship in Denver, if you recall.
So what does it mean that the Broncos haven't signed any outside free agents this year?

Some say it's that the team hasn't been aggressive enough. But if you truly want to get to the bottom of why the Broncos haven't been aggressive this year, look no further than a Sean Payton quote from last year.
He told a story of his parents going to a garage sale. Said Payton, "They come home with a new couch. And you were so excited ... until you sat in the left corner and it wiggled. And then you realized why it was a free agent."
Know what? He probably knows better than the rest of us.
