With all the mayhem going on in the world, sometimes we need to just take our minds off it, with some nonsensical fun. Lovelanders came to together to rally around a can of beer along the road.

Maybe if the can wasn't along a major artery through town, it wouldn't have garnered so much attention; but, there it was grabbing the spotlight. Did you see the can?

Summer and beer tend to go hand-in-hand. The fact that this situation centered around Australian beer, adds to the goofiness of it.

WHAT WAS THE DEAL WITH THE CAN OF FOSTERS IN LOVELAND COLORADO?

On July 12, 2023, an unopened can of Foster's appeared in the median at Eisenhower and Boyd Lake Avenue in Loveland. Fosters cans are big, so they did stand out.

Folks in Loveland took a shine to this random beer can, posting pictures on Facebook of the Fosters. Eisenhower Boulevard and Boyd Lake Avenue is a fairly busy intersection; thousands of cars drove by the can while it was there.

While the can was there, the can became the "talk of the town;" everyone wanted to know if the can was still there and how it was holding up. Some even went out to the can and dropped off a couple more unopened cans of other beers, to keep the Fosters company.

Loveland became very enamored by this beer can; many hoped it would be there forever. Imagine things getting out of control and the city erecting some sort of "trophy case" around the can. That would have been great.

HOW LONG WAS THE CAN OF FOSTERS AT EISENHOWER AND BOYD LAKE IN LOVELAND

It looks like the Fosters can was there for ten days, from July 12, 2023, to July 22, 2023. It's not clear exactly when the can and its friends were cleared away, or by whom. Maybe it was the Loveland Police, maybe it was someone who didn't like the spectacle of it all, or maybe it was just a thirsty person.
