The Walmart in Timnath is Making Some Major Changes
The Walmart near my house is changing…and I am shook.
The Timnath, Colorado Walmart, or Store #4599, if you’re fancy, was built back in 2009. That’s almost 17 years ago. Mind blowing! And yes, I have been shopping there since opening day on April 29th. So this layout change? It’s hitting me personally. I feel attacked.
Dramatic? Absolutely.
Relatable? I think so.
Located right off I-25, the Timnath Walmart is the perfect one-stop shop. Groceries, home goods, clothes, random things you didn’t know you needed until you saw them… it’s all there.
And then… the change came.
A change that, in my humble opinion, was completely unnecessary. Of course I don't own that store, make decisions about the store, or even understand Business 101, but come on!
Am I bitter? Yes.
Has my quick grocery run turned into a full-blown journey? Also yes.
Now I walk in and immediately feel like a lost, confused child wandering the aisles, questioning everything I thought I knew. Nothing is where it’s supposed to be. NOTHING.
And can we talk about the pharmacy? Why did we move it from one side of the store to the complete opposite end of the store? Why are we making sick people go on a scavenger hunt for cold medicine?!
First world problem? Totally.
Am I alone in this? I refuse to believe it.
Because here’s my concern: what happens when I’m already sick — fever, exhausted, barely functioning , and now I have to navigate a brand-new store layout like it’s an escape room?
Sure, I could take the time to relearn everything and give it a serious walk about. But that’s not the point.
The point is… I hate change.
And now, apparently, I have to accept this new reality. Not to me dramatic, but this is genuinely upsetting to me.
Pathetic? Yes.
