
Family Members Among Victims of Deadly Weld County Dairy Accident
The identities of the six victims involved in a tragic incident on a Weld County dairy farm have been revealed.
On Wednesday, August 20th officials from Southeast Weld Fire District were called t a dairy farm in Keenesburg, a town just about thirty minutes outside of Denver.

Weld County Dairy Farm Accident in Keenesburg
When first responders arrived at Prospect Valley Dairy, they attempted to save six men that were in a confined space, according to officials.
Unfortunately the team was unsuccessful and these six individuals died.
Victims of the Keenesburg Dairy Accident Identified
Reports confirmed that all six of the victims were males, one of them was even a high school student who was helping his dad out on the farm. His older brother was also one of the victims.
Highland High School Student Among the Victims
A post from Weld County School District RE-9 confirmed that this teen was a student at Highland High School.
"This tragedy has deeply affected our school district and community," district officials said in a statement on social media.
Names and Ages of the Six Victims
We finally have more details about who was involved in this tragic dairy incident.
According to a report from Denver7 news, the ages of the victims ranged from 17 to 50.
Here are there names:
- 17-year-old Oscar Espinoza Leos of Nunn
- 50-year-old Alejandro Espinoza Cruz of Nunn
- 36-year-old Jorge Sanchez Pena of Greeley
- 29-year-old Carlos Espinoza Prado of Evans
- 40-year-old Ricardo Gomez Galvan of Keenesburg
- 32-year-old Noe Montanez Casanas of Keenesburg
Family Members Among the Victims
Reports claim that four of these men were related; Oscar and Carlos were the sons of Alejandro, and they were related by marriage to Jorge.
These four relatives repaired machines at various dairy farms around Keenesburg.
Possible Cause of Death: Gas Exposure in a Confined Space
The Weld County Coroner's office report that these men all died as a “result of gas exposure in a confined space.”
Weld County Coroner’s Office Investigation Ongoing
Officials from the coroner's office confirmed that autopsies on the bodies have been completed. They are waiting for the results so they can piece together what happened that day.
