Colorado Has Some of the Highest Bills in the Country
The cost of living continues to rise, and sadly, while food, bills, and rent go up, most paychecks do not. Some sacrifices have to be made to eat, keep the lights on, and live a comfortable lifestyle, and most are not happy about it. There are certain bills you have to pay each month, such as electricity, water, and, for most, the internet is a top priority as well. Most know that Colorado is not a cheap state to live in, but how expensive is it? Does Colorado have the most expensive bills in the country, and if not, how high do they rank among other states?
States With the Highest Bills in America

Depending on where you live will dictate how expensive your bills are. Most know there are certain states and cities that are among the most expensive to live in. If you want to live near the ocean, near the mountains, or near entertainment, it will cost you. Vettory.org recently released a study revealing the states with the highest bills in the country, and not surprisingly, Hawaii has the most expensive bills. California is the state with the second most expensive bills, and Massachusetts comes in at number three. Where does Colorado fall on this list?
The Cost of Bills in Colorado

Colorado does not crack the top three or the top five, but does come in as the tenth highest state when it comes to the cost of bills. The average cost of bills each month for a household in the Centennial State is $2,473 a month. For those interested, Hawaii is $3,091 a month, which is the highest in the country. Colorado's average cost for bills per year is $29,676, which is 16.3% above the national average. Compared to Hawaii, once again, the highest state is 45.4% above the national average, so while things seem bad in Colorado, they could be much worse. While some may think the cost of living hasn't increased that much, this study says otherwise.
