Are Coloradans well-liked across the country? We'd love for every other state to think we're as cool as we think we are, but the truth is, we might not be everyone's cup of tea.

Condé Nast Traveler interviewed people from across the country and asked them about their home state's biggest rival. Here are the conclusions they reached that involve Colorado.

Colorado's Biggest Rival

The Colorado resident they spoke to said that California was by far Colorado's biggest rival. The high volume of California transplants to the area is a big reason for that.

California residents come to Colorado with larger salaries and have bought cheaper Colorado homes and property for years.

That is not breaking news for anybody.

Here is some good news. We are only one state's biggest rival. To be honest, I expected it to be Wyoming. It feels like the overall tone of Wyoming is that many residents are not big fans of us.

An example would be that the Laramie County Sheriff's Office put up a billboard in Denver that said "Work in Wyoming, where breaking the law is still illegal and cops are funded".

Surprisingly, Nebraska calls Colorado their biggest rival.

The person they interviewed did not have horrible things to say about our state, however, they said that Colorado is their biggest rival due to the fact that we are like a cooler younger brother to Nebraska. Do you agree with that?
