There is a lot of political tension in Colorado and throughout the country right now. You have noticed political signs in yards, on billboards, and just about everywhere you look. In my neighborhood, there are political signs for what is on the local ballot in Colorado, but there are far more political yard signs for the Presidential race.

Do these signs work? Do they change people's minds? Here is what has been found.

According to new research by Geek Nexus, political signs do not change minds in Colorado very often. 46% of Coloradans believe the signs can make an impact while the majority of us in Colorado refer to political lawn signs as lawn ornaments that do not make much of a difference on the ballot.

However, they do create more tension than in most states.

Here is a real-life example. I never place political signs in my yard. However, both of my neighbors have political signs for each Presidential candidate. I am friendly with both neighbors and they each complain about each other and they have never met each other.

Geek Nexus says that residents of Aurora, Lakewood, Denver, and Thornton have the most tension with each other based on political signs with opposing beliefs.

Should You Have Political Yard Signs in Colorado

Based on what I said earlier in this article, you might assume that I am against putting up political yard signs.

However, you should always feel free to express your beliefs. If you are my neighbor here in Northern Colorado, I will not judge you even if I disagree. Unfortunately, others might have a different opinion.
