There's this phrase that my sister uses that just makes me cackle every single time I hear it.

She says this to me whenever I tell her something extremely obvious.

Let's set the scene...

So, I just told her a story about how I've lost my keys or wallet once again.

Usually she'll respond in a deadpan tone with, "Breaking news: Fork found in kitchen."

It means that something you just said or did was incredibly obvious.

Where would you usually find a fork? In the kitchen, duh!
