This October, officials are "rolling the dice" and booking Coors Field for an event for three days and their thinking is that the Colorado Rockies will not be in the Major League Baseball playoffs.

As much as we love the Rockies and want to see them make it and prove people wrong, chances are pretty good that it's a pretty safe bet that this isn't the year the Rockies return to the playoffs so with that being said, this particular event sounds pretty awesome.

You can pretend that you are one of the "Blake Street Bombers" at Coors Field except, you won't be hitting baseballs. You will be smashing golf balls all over Coors Field thanks to Upper Deck Golf.

It's kind of like Top Golf except you're smacking balls from the upper deck of a baseball stadium and in our case, that stadium is Coors Field.

This set up and opportunity will take place on Friday, Oct. 21-23.

There will be standard and VIP tee times for the weekend running from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday. Tee times are offered in 2- to 12-player increments, with prices starting at $84.99 per person.

The VIP experience seems like a pretty neat way to go and that includes free entry into driving, chipping, and putting challenges and complimentary food and beverage items.

The Rockies said additional details will be available a later date.
