Colorado Bus Driver Left 40 Children At Wrong Stop, Parents Furious
I am not a parent, but I could imagine that 40 sets of guardians and parents were furious at one Colorado school bus driver. When I was a child, I had my fair share of interesting bus drivers and interesting experiences.
However, my stories are quite insignificant compared to what these children experienced.
Castle Rock Bus Driver Has Been Fired
A substitute bus driver for Clear Sky Elementary in Castle Rock has been fired because they dropped nearly all students off at the wrong stop. The location was not a drop-off point and was nowhere near many children's homes or destinations.
According to NBC, the driver refused to leave the school until the students stopped talking. The driver claims their tablet, which provided directions, stopped working and stopped. Then, 40 students walked off the bus.

Another report by USA Today says that the bus driver kept dropping off random children at random destinations. The bus driver reportedly asked the children for directions.
What Happened in Castle Rock Still Unclear
The children were reportedly afraid, lost, and cold. They were also dropped off in an unknown location when it was dark outside. Strangers saw the children outside and asked them for their parents' phone numbers to reunite them. Parents are trying to figure out exactly what happened. The story of the school bus driver and the story of the children do not exactly line up.
Parents are attempting to have video footage of the bus ride released so they can determine an accurate portrayal of what occurred on the cold November day.
