Big Acts Coming to the 2025 Cheyenne Frontier Days

Cheyenne Frontier Days, "The Daddy of 'em All," got its start back in 1897, taking a note from Greeley's "Potato Day."

Nearly 130 years later, Cheyenne Frontier Days is one of the biggest rodeo events in the world, including being the "World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo."

The first one, with pony races, bronco busting, steer roping and other "Cowboy" events was so successful that by the next year it already had a parade and expanded to two days, hence "Frontier Days."

I took a look at Setlist.fm, which keeps information about concerts and venues, and the earliest Cheyenne Frontier Days concert that they have listed goes back to 1963, when the only performer that night was the legend, Johnny Cash.

You have to be jealous of anybody that was at that show; 'The Man in Black' coming out, adjusting his guitar..."Hello, I'm Johnny Cash." It gives you chills, right?

Who knows? in 2087, maybe people will be jealous because folks got see an artist in 2025 that became legendary by 2087; that's the magic of music.

The 2025 Cheyenne Frontier Days will take place July 18 through 27 at Frontier Park, with a fantastic lineup of acts for their Frontier Nights. Tickets go on sale March 13, 2025.
