I love the mountains of Colorado, but I am not really sure if I could ever bring myself to live in them. Camping is one thing; having to deal with all that comes with mountain living daily is another.

One of the main reasons that I would never really consider living in the mountains has to be bears. They are always hungry, and one little mistake could cost you thousands of dollars in damages, or worse.

Spring is here in Colorado, and that means the bears in the mountains are becoming active and on the hunt for food. I mean, you would be hungry too if you didn't eat all winter long.

According to the post on X, everything on the inside of the car was torn to shreds. The side panels, airbags, and dash were all destroyed by the hungry bear. Colorado Parks and Wildlife said there was no way to tell what the bear was in search of inside the car as it was a disaster after the rummaging bear left its mark.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is warning people who live or venture into the mountains not to leave food in their vehicles and also to lock their doors. One tip that was given by Colorado Parks and Wildlife to help deter bears from breaking into vehicles was placing dryer sheets inside. However, this might not be a proven method for repelling hungry bears.
