Is ‘Crazy In Love’ the Greatest Song Of The ‘00s?
VH1 has created a " 100 Greatest Songs of the ‘00s" list and Beyoncé came in at #1...and #16...#19. (I think she might have gotten a few extra votes because of her pregnancy.)
The song that did it for her was “Crazy in Love,” which features then-future husband Jay-Z. (Jay-Z also came in at #8 with "empire State Of Mind") “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” came in at #16 and her former group (Destiny's Child) hit #19 with “Bootylicious.”
What other songs made the top 10?
- Beyoncé featuring Jay-Z, “Crazy in Love”
- OutKast, “Hey Ya!”
- Lady Gaga, “Poker Face”
- Eminem, “Lose Yourself”
- Kelly Clarkson, “Since U Been Gone”
- Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx, “Gold Digger”
- Justin Timberlake featuring Timbaland, “SexyBack”
- Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys, “Empire State of Mind”
- Mariah Carey, “We Belong Together”
- 50 Cent, “In Da Club”
VH1 will air the entire 100-song list over five nights beginning Monday and the countdown will be hosted Pete Wentz.
I wonder how many more Beyoncé and Jay-Z songs are in that list.
And a Mariah Carey made the top 10? Seriously?!
