Human Cheese Grater Reminds Colorado Motorcyclists To Wear Gear
The Colorado Department of Transportation has officially unveiled an eye-catching new safety reminder for motorcyclists: a human cheese grater painted on the road at Performance Cycle and other locations throughout the state.
When you first hear those words (human cheese grater), your mind probably goes to a terrible place. According to CDOT, though, that's kind of the point. According to a press release, 63 motorcyclists have died in crashes this year, with 10 in Northern Colorado: and it's not even the end of summer.
CDOT wants to remind riders to always gear up: that means wearing a helmet and other protective gear every time they get on a bike. Otherwise, they could injure themselves seriously on the asphalt. See the image for yourself right here:
