Saturday I was at the open house of the new stadium, and it was packed all around there, until the gates opened for the first (unofficial) time ever, for the CSU scrimmage game.

Once everyone was inside, I was surprised to see the stadium seating was, at best filled at a quarter of its capacity.

For what it's worth, I spoke with several visitors who said they had absolutely no trouble getting in and out of the stadium.  Naturally, it's possible they had gotten there very early, but still - that seemed to point to a fairly well-designed traffic system, and that the new parking garages and makeover of the College/Prospect intersection may be set up to handle the intense demand that they're in for.

We'll find out!  We're told the first official CSU game of the season, which is Oregon State on August 26th, is sold out.  So up to four times the amount of people I saw on Saturday, will flood the stadium and surrounding areas for the first of many, many times.

I think it's going to go alright.  But enough about me.
