Houston Mentor Pays Delinquent Lunch Accounts For Over 60 Students [VIDEO]

This guy is a quality human being. He found out that more than 60 kids at his school were being served 'delinquent' lunches because their parents can't even afford reduced lunches and forked over $465 out of his own pocket to pay up all of their accounts.

According Click2Houston, to His name is Kenny Thompson and he has been mentoring and tutoring kids for 10 years. He found out about the despicable story from Utah where elementary school kids' lunches were actually being taken away and thrown in the trash because of outstanding lunch account balances and checked in to see if anything like this was happening at his school.

Sure enough, there were dozens of kids being given cold cheese sandwiches instead of full tray lunches because their parents hadn't (or couldn't) pay up their accounts.

He decided to do something about it.

He opened up his heart and his wallet and paid $465 of his own dollars to get over 60 kids' accounts up to a zero-balance and allow them to get the full lunches they need.

Just listen to what he told the news station doing the report on him;

These are elementary school kids. They don't need to be worried about finances...They need to be worried about what grade they got in spelling.

When I left the building knowing that they were getting fed, they didn't have that stress...The best money I ever spent.

There needs to be more people like this guy in the world.
