This morning there was another death by train in Old Town Fort Collins. According to the Coloradoan, a homeless man, who’s identity has not yet been released was stuck and killed by a freight train near Linden Street.

Although his name hasn’t been released the Coloradoan interviewed some of his friends who wanted to make sure the world knows that he will be missed.

Please say his friend are going to miss him, OK?

You can see raw footage of the scene below that CTV put on YouTube.

I’m wondering if the city and the railway are going to be forced to do anything to increase safety or awareness along the tracks that run through town. This is the 3rd or 4th train fatality I can think of in the past couple of years that has happened in Fort Collins.

Do you think something needs to be done to improve safety near the railroad tracks in Fort Collins? Or do people just need to be more cautious?
