Hipsters Getting Beard Transplants

Are you a hipster that is getting made fun of because you can't grow that iconic beard? Well, have no fear!

The new thing to do is get a beard transplant!

Yup, you read that right. Apparently the new "fad" is that guys are going to plastic surgeons to move hair to their face to fix the patches and get a thicker beard.

Dr. Jeffrey Epstein, a plastic surgeon based in midtown Manhattan, says, "Brooklyn is probably the nucleus of the trend, it’s the hipster ‘look’ guys want. If you have a spotty beard, and you let it grow out, it looks sloppy . . . [Clients] want full beards because it’s a masculine look. Beards are an important male identifier."

With a transplant, the hair of course is taken from other parts of the body so yeah... I will let you have that mental image. Also, these are not cheap! They cost up to or over $8,500!

Epstein says that he now does about 2 a week! That's crazy stupid.
