UPDATED: Here’s Where You CAN See July 4 Fireworks in Northern Colorado
Fort Collins will not have a fireworks show this year and neither will the town of Estes Park, in order to prevent a large gathering that could spread COVID-19.
However, if you live in Fort Collins' surrounding communities, you may still get a 4th of July show. Here's our rundown on where you might catch some fireworks:
Berthoud - YES
Berthoud is hosting a July 3 fireworks show, starting at dusk. Berthoud said on Facebook that it is launching the fireworks from Waggener Park, 'which means they can be seen from a greater distance – perfect for home viewing!'
Greeley - YES
The Greeley Stampede canceled the 2020 festival, but the July 4 fireworks will still happen.
'One of the missions is to celebrate our independence,' The Greeley Stampede website says. 'There is no better way to do this than the annual fireworks show...Now more than ever, the community needs this family tradition and opportunity to celebrate our independence and life. For this occasion, we have set a goal to increase the investment in fireworks for a larger, more patriotic fireworks display.'
Loveland - YES [Updated]
Loveland's 2020 event will not be held at North Lake Park. Instead, there will be a drive-in show for Larimer County at The Ranch near the Budweiser Events Center. The show will start at 7:30, and is limited to 1,000 cars, first come, first served.
Wellington - YES [Updated]
The Town of Wellington will be having a fireworks show from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Parade and car show, etc. are canceled.
Windsor -YES [Updated]
New location: Windsor will not host a fireworks celebration at Windsor Lake, like it usually does. 'The fireworks will be launching between the Poudre River Trail and New Liberty Road, which is the highest point in the town of Windsor.' Read more here.
