Help Save the FoCo Cafe in Old Town (Before It’s Too Late)

FoCo Cafe, a pay-what-you-can non-profit cafe in Old Town Fort Collins, is hoping to raise $50,000 by October 31 so they can stay open.

According to CBS4 in Denver, the cafe needs to raise money to cover overhead costs and sales tax (even though it provides meals for free in many cases) to stay in business.

If you aren't familiar with the FoCo Cafe, 'FoCo' stands for 'feeding our community ourselves.' The food is fresh and local, and there are no prices on the menu.

So, if you can't afford a meal, you can volunteer in the cafe, and in return, eat. It's a great way to bring the community together, regardless of means. We've seen a lot of local Fort Collins restaurants close over the last couple months, but I think it'd really break Fort Collins' heart to see this place go.
