Christmas carols add so much joy to the holiday season... but if you listen closely to some of the lyrics, you may have second thought on singing certain ones this season. Here are 4 popular Christmas carols that I think have questionable messages.

Talk about creeper alert! When you break down the lyrics, this song is filled with sexual harassment, and sound like the beginning of a story with a horrible ending. The women makes several attempts to leave the man's home, with him ignoring her requests, by changing the subject with a compliment on her appearance. He also delivers a long list of excuses as to why she must stay, ranging from there not being any cabs, it will hurt his pride and even death! Finally, things come to a head when she flat out says NO! Yet his advances continue... instead he pours her a drink, leading to her asking "Say, what's in this drink?" After all of this, I can't believe that this "Christmas Classic" has made it through the years, with so many remakes.

Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer

Why are we celebrating the death of someone Grandma at Christmas by means of a hit-and-run, when all she wanted to do is get her medication... and why do I have a sneaking suspicion that Grandpa was somehow involved?

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

The entire song, no one wants anything to do with Rudolph because of his "deformity." Isn't this a story of picking on someone because of their handicap? How could Santa let this kind of behavior happen at his workplace? Doesn't Santa have an HR department? Finally, would Santa have let the abuse continue if he hadn't needed him, "One foggy Christmas Eve?" What kind of message is this sending to the kids?

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

How traumatic for the child to catch his mother sucking face with a home intruder. Also, realize that there are 2 guilty parties in this song. Not only the child's mother, who is making out with Santa while her husband is up stairs. But Santa is not without guilt. Let us not forget, there is a Mrs. Clause at the North poll who is slaving over a hot stove backing cookies and looking after their hundreds of adopted elf children.
