12 years ago Jason Padgett was just an average man that like partying and having fun. He dropped out of Tacoma Community College and hadn't a care in the world when it came to math. Then something strange happened.

He was out at a karaoke bar where he got into a bit of a scuffle. Two men attacked him from behind, punching him in the head and falling to the ground unconscious. The next day he noticed lines and shapes all over his house and became obsessed with them. He went from not caring about math to becoming obsessed with it. His concussion from the fight had given him “acquired savant syndrome,” a condition in which prodigious talents in math, art or music emerge in previously normal individuals following a brain injury or disease.
