Greeley Stampede Announces Shoebox Parade
The annual Greeley Stampede 4th of July Parade has been canceled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But that doesn't mean that the tradition won't keep going.
The Greeley Stampede has announced they are introducing the Shoebox Parade. Community members are being invited to create a shoebox float of their very own to participate in this year's parade.
Participants start with a box as a base and decorate the box with household items. After you have created your parade float, submit your photo to the Greeley Stampede, where it will be featured on their Shoebox Parade Facebook Live feed on July 4 at 9 a.m.
Prizes will be given out in various categories for the shoebox floats. Those categories include:
- Red, White, and You - Most Patriotic - presented by Pepsi
- Celebrating Our Heroes of the Front Lines - presented by Banner Health
- MyGreeley - Best representation of our community - presented by TBK Bank
- Spotlight - Most entertaining and creative - Presented by Greeley Area Realtors Association
