Greeley Ballpark Named Rocky Mountain Sports Field of the Year

The City of Greeley’s Twin River Ballpark at 1500 65th Avenue was recently named the “2015 Rocky Mountain Sports Field of the Year.”

One Colorado sports field is chosen every year by the Colorado Sports Turf Managers Association. To qualify, maintenance costs, processes and challenges are taken into consideration, in addition to the field’s public usage and amount of annual events. In 2004, the Butch Butler field received the award.

Darrell Aragon, who has been with the City of Greeley for the last thirteen years, applied for the 2015 Field of the Year Award for and accepted the award on behalf of the Parks Division.
