At a news conference on Wednesday (April 1) the Governor announced that the mandate closing all Colorado schools will continue in order to do all we can to help stop the spread of the current pandemic.

Governor Polis may soon announce that he'll also extend the statewide 'stay-at-home' order through April 30, instead of the current April 11 cutoff. In the meantime, all of the state's schools WILL be closed until the end of April.

At his press conference on April 1, Polis stated the decision correlates with the President's new social distancing deadlines.

Polis also said that he and his staff will take the next few days, perhaps up to a week, to decided if the statewide 'stay-at-home' order will be extended to the April 30 date as well.
