Get Your Forks Ready Fort Collins, The Taste 2012 is Thursday Night
Where can you find more than 30 of Larimer County’s finest restaurants and nearly 20 of the its finest wineries and breweries under one roof? The Taste!
The Taste is an annual event where all those food and beverage makers show off some of their best recipes while you sample them all, while enjoying live jazz and putting down bids for amazing silent auction items. And it's all for a good cause.
The Taste 2012 benefits the Food Bank for Larimer County and Neighbor to Neighbor, two of our area’s largest non-profit organizations designed to provide resources for the hungry and homeless.
I think this will be my 4th or 5th year in a row attending The Taste and honestly, it's one of the best food events of the year. If you like to eat, you'll be in heaven at the Hilton on Thursday night. Appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, meats, seafood, pastries, desserts, soups, cheeses...you'll find it all. And you'll be able to wash it down with a sampling of local beers, wines, and coffees.
Then sprinkle on the local artist designed plate auctions, the silent auction tables, the live entertainment from Mark Sloniker and The Nu Classics, and a room full of people who love food as much as you and you have the makings of one fantastic evening.
General Admission Tickets for the event are $65.00 and grant you access at 6pm. VIP Admission Tickets are $100.00 and get you in at 5:00 pm along with a champagne and strawberry reception, a Walkabout tray, and special VIP only prizes and giveaways.
On top of the eating, the drinking, the auctions and the live music The Taste is also a little bit of a competition between the food and beverage makers.
