Get More at the Farmers Market With SNAP
This weekend will be the start of getting more from the farmers market if you receive SNAP benefits.
SNAP recipients who purchase fresh produce will be able to double up food bucks up to $20 in vouchers that will be able to be used at any participating market.
Those markets include:
Drake Road Farmers Market located at 805 W. Drake Rd in Fort Collins
Fort Collins Farmers Market located at 1001 E. Harmony Rd. in Fort Collins
Loveland Farmers Market located at 3133 N Garfield in Loveland
Over 30 different farmers markets and farm stands have chosen to participate this year. Additionally, the Larimer County Farmer's Market located at 200 W. Oak St in Fort Collins will join the program later in July.
Wendy Moschetti who is the Director of Food Systems for LiveWell Colorado said the program is a "win win" for Colorado farmers and low income residents.
