Starting on Dec. 28, Fort Collins will have one less place to grab a beer.

Hop Grenade, a California based company that opened in fall of 2017 with beer, cider and food is closing the doors that day with a farewell party.

The co-owner Justin Crossley tells the Coloradoan what happened:

"We have never been profitable...We've never even been able to get to the break-even point, and the losses are just no longer sustainable."

He went on to say that he "might have underestimated the competition of beer places and breweries."

Set your calendars for Dec. 28 and meet us at Hop Grenade for the "kick the keg" party and help send this great place off with a bang.
