Fort Collins Schools Announce January In-Person Return
Poudre School District in Fort Collins has announced that they will be resuming remote learning in January with a gradual return to in-person learning.
According to the Poudre School District, starting on January 5, Pre-K students will resume hybrid learning while students K-12 will resume to full remote learning for at least the first two weeks of the semester.
On January 19, the day after Martin Luther King Day, Pre-K- 5th grade students will resume to full in-person learning, 6th-8th grade will move to a hybrid schedule where students will learn in person twice a week and be remote three times a week.
High school students will remain on a remote learning schedule through January 25 when they will shift into phase 2 where students will be in person once a week.
Plans for what the schedules will look like in February will be released soon.
As a parent to a Kindergartener and moving here from Washington recently where it was ALL remote learning for everyone, I can certainly feel for the parents who are struggling with this remote learning and balancing work and figuring all of this stuff out.
It was one of the biggest challenges my wife and I have faced and not only that, my son (who is now in the Weld RE4 District) and going in person, was struggling and is definitely thriving much more being in a classroom.
